Salyse is a rising star in the music scene whose music has always proven to be relevant and unique. She is known for her captivating performances and soulful sound. As an independent artist, she has garnered a dedicated following with her authentic approach to music-making and her ability to connect with listeners on a deeper level. Salyse’s music is an energetic fusion of soul, R&B, house, and disco, drawing inspiration legends like Chaka Khan, Erykah Badu, and Marvin Gaye, and contemporary artists like Solange and Kaytranada, as well as her activist background and expertise in Black culture.
Salyse was named one of Massachusetts and Boston’s Top 10 R&B artists in Kulture Vultures and was featured on the cover of Becoming Her Magazine. She was formerly part of a disco group called Vinyl Groove where she opened up for acts like Bonnie Pointer, The Stylistics, Evelyn Champagne King, Tavares, Shalamar, France Joli and many more of the soul/disco greats.
